Each (1) Black Berkey filter element has a lifetime of 3,000 gallons. These are incredible 6,000 gallons for a two-filter system. This is possible due to the unique ability of the Black Berkey filter elements to be cleaned with a 3M Scotch Brit pad up to 100 times. Developed for large groups of more than 35 people.
